James Joyce

When we open the new shop, be sure to stop in and see our massive collection of works by James Joyce.  True first editions of Ulysses and Finnegans Wake.  Both British and English.  Likewise with regard to Dubliners and Portrait of the Artist As A Young Man. And tons of commentary, gloss and critique.  As well as biography.

Unfortunately, I love them all so much, that I won't sell them to you.

Errata

A kind reader, Emma, wrote to admonish us with regard to our provision of live mice at the new Shoppe.  Be assured that the rodent section will be secured and any marauding mice will be water-boarded.  We don't look at it as torture.  Mice actually seem to tolerate it as a benign scolding.

We will, however, be hosting a series of events catering to venomous snakes. Each week we will invite another species to our "open mike" night, where they will be able to sinuously curl around the microphone stand and then pronounce their political views, read from selected works or in many cases rebut unfounded phobias as well as actual hate crimes that have been committed against them, in Biblical proportion.

Thanks again Emma, and a tip o' the hat from your friends at WSB.

The New Wellington Square Bookshop, Cafe and Emporium

Work continues apace on our expansion to 547 Wellington Square, just two doors down from our current location.  The new shop will include a cafe, new as well as rare books and an emporium of book paraphernalia as well as cards, journals, incense, bookmarks, optics, candy, baked goods and live mice.

Look for our grand opening in June of this year.
